When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the child jumped in her womb and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. With a great cry, she exclaimed, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!” Word of the Lord. Glory to you, Lord Jesus.
Lord, we honor Your Mother’s visit to Cousin Elizabeth. We ask you and the Blessed Mother for charity towards our neighbor.

3) In the third joyful mystery we contemplate the Birth of the Child Jesus in the poor grotto of Bethlehem.
Lk 2:1-7: “It came to pass that, in those days, Caesar Augustus issued a decree, ordering the census of the whole earth. This first census was made when Quirinus was governor of Syria. They were all going to register each in their hometown. Being of David’s family and descendants, Joseph went up from the city of Nazareth in Galilee to the city of David, called Bethlehem, in Judea, to register with Mary, his wife, who was pregnant. While they were in Bethlehem, the days for delivery were fulfilled and Mary gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him and placed him in the manger, for there was no room for them in the inn.”

4) In the fourth joyful mystery we contemplate the Presentation of the Child Jesus in the temple and the Purification of Our Lady.

And when the days for purification were fulfilled, according to the law of Moses, they took the child to Jerusalem to present it to the Lord as it is written in the Law of the Lord: ‘Every firstborn of the male sex must be consecrated to the Lord.’ Therefore, they were to offer in sacrifice a pair of turtledoves or two pigeons, as it is written in the Law of the Lord.”

5) In the fifth joyful mystery we contemplate the Loss and Encounter of the Child Jesus in the Temple.
Lk 2:41-47: “Jesus’ parents went to Jerusalem every year for the feast of Passover. When He turned twelve, they went up to the party, as usual. After the Easter days, they began the return journey, but the baby Jesus remained in Jerusalem, without his parents noticing. Thinking he was in the caravan, they walked a whole day. Then they began to look for him among relatives and acquaintances. Having not found them, they returned to Jerusalem in search of them. Three days later he was found in the Temple. He was sitting in the middle of the teachers, listening and asking questions. Everyone who heard the boy was amazed at his intelligence and his answers.” Word of the Lord….. Glory to you, Lord Jesus.

And Jesus said, ‘Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.’ They divided their garments and drew lots for them. It was almost the sixth hour, and there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour, when the sun went out and the veil of the temple was torn in the middle. Then Jesus gave a loud cry and said, “Father, into your hands I commend my spirit. And when He had said this, He gave up the ghost. Word of Salvation. Glory to You, Lord.

1) In the first merciful mystery we contemplate Jesus forgiving the sinner and teaching her how to forgive.
Jn 8:2-11: When morning broke, he returned to the temple and all the people came to him. He sat down and began to teach. The scribes and the Pharisees brought him a woman who had been caught in adultery. They put her in the midst of the crowd and said to Jesus, “Teacher, just now this woman was caught in adultery. Moses commanded us in the law to stone such women. What do you say to that? They asked him, in order to test him and to be able to accuse him. But Jesus leaned forward and wrote with his finger on the ground. When they insisted, he stood up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at it. Leaning down again, he wrote on the ground. At these words, feeling accused by their own conscience, they went away one by one, until the last, beginning with the oldest, so that Jesus was left alone with the woman before him. Then he stood up and, seeing only the woman, asked her: Woman, where are those who accused you? Did no one condemn you? She answered: No one, Lord. Then Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more. Word of Salvation. Glory to You, Lord
Lord Jesus, give me the grace to forgive with all my heart. Give me the grace to love the sinner and not the sin, to welcome the sinner and not the sin.

Hypocrite, first remove the beam from your own eye, and then you will see, so that you can remove the speck from your brother’s eye. Word of salvation. Glory be to you, Lord.
Lord Jesus, through the intercession of your Blessed Mother, help me, instead of judging, to love my brother. Lord, I want to stop judging my brother.

The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. I am the good shepherd. I know my sheep and my sheep know me, just as my Father knows me and I know the Father. I lay down my life for my sheep. Then he came to his senses and thought: How many servants there are in my father’s house who have bread in abundance… and here I am dying of hunger! I will get up and go to my father and say to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. And he arose and went to his father. He was still a long way off when his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and ran to him, and fell on his neck and kissed him. Then the son said to him, “My father, I have sinned against heaven and against you; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.” The father said to the servants, “Bring me quickly the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his finger and shoes on his feet.
